help needed with me dog

hi their people im having trouble with my dogs retreiveing when he catches a rabbit he will run off and whae i get with in 5 feet of him he runs a bit further and so on but sum itmes he will dig a ahole and burry the rabbit still alive then cum back to me instantly after burying the rabbit whats going on ive had him on the local playing feild with a dummy rabbit and he brings that one back when ever you call him canb any one help me please or tell me whats going on thanks jed and levo

Have you tried running off on him? Never heard of a dog burying rabbits alive lol Would be funny to watch .. at first. What do the rabbits do? once buried lol

I would say walk away, look interested in somthing else, the dog will want to know what your interested in then when he does come back loads of praise.

ok cheers people ill try walking away and see what happens hope it works oh ang when you walk away the rabbits dont do any thing the try to run away if you dont pick them straight away lol
