richie 1
had an invite out today to help out with a few hedge rows. started off with netting up the first hedge row in two sections. within the first 5 minutes we had a couple in the bag with one of them bouncing off my longnet & getting tangled on the 3rd bounce, my fault not having enough bag in the section! worked our way down the line & ended up with 8 in total from that hedge row. moved on to the next section, a hedge row & a few open sets. threw the longnets round & entered all 7 ferrets. once again within the first few minutes they were bolting & one lucky one slipped the net we ended up getting 4 from there. once again on the last hedge row we netted up & threw all the ferrets down, 4 caught in the long nets & we had to dig down to 2, only a couple of feet.. 18 in total ! only one picture from today as we were all hands on.. just like to thank pat for the invite, much appreciated ! had a great day & great company. & it was also a pleasure to meet tony.. stubby 175
answer to above question; hold rabbit, belly up, place foot on front legs, pull belly skin tight, nick (small cut) at rib cage area, insert finger and pull down, this makes the hole you can see in the photo's, when gutting lots of rabbits, this is a very quick and easy method, one person cuts, the other, bends the rabbit back, and lobs the guts down a recently dug hole, and nope, they dont get dirty Quote Link to post

Guest Magwitch
we always gut the rabbits straight after ferreting and we did 18 rabbits in a couple of minutes as Stubby says its a very quick method and you don't hit the poo bag Quote Link to post
