Yes its legal to post them, But make sure its well packaged and take out postage insurance

Yes it is, I sent a Titan Bearcat to America recently, no problems, a good idea though is to remove the barrel from the stock, making the package as short as possible to reduce the risk of bending the barrel, it's happened plenty of times and as said above, take out insurance.

It is only illegal if it is a trade sale. Private sales are fine as long as both parties are over 18.

Before you post it, check the insurance; most carriers will not carry "firearms" nowadays and if you don't inform them beforehand you aren't insured.

That said, I have asked APC who said they won;t carry...butV-mach use them

Yes it is still legal as I returned a rifle via special delivery to the Airguncentre at a cost of £29 quid but for that price its insured and you can track your package on a web-site, costly but efficient as every time your package changes hands it has to be signed for and location/date logged electronically and signed for at its destination.
