394 battery life and mk3 switches

Anyone else getting shorter than expected life out of 394 batteries this year? I buy Renata off Amazon / eBay, a brand which used to have a long life and now seem really variable.

Possibly connected to batteries and stressing em out because when they finally break that's it, is the magnetic switches on three of my four mk3 collars are inconsistent and sometimes won't switch off. Is there a fix?

Give the locator collar a sharp tap that sometimes works, the magnetic switch gets stuck on, failing that just remove batteries after use,

Bloody hell that worked with 2 of them. , batteries out as well
