went ferreting today, had 3 from the first bury, when gutting them found weird growths inside two of them. very dark yellow and black, kind of marbled effect to the colouring, very firm and when cut open looked like chewed up raw meat! weirdest thing of all is the growths weren't attached to the guts, skin or rabbit in any way at all!just laid inside the body cavity! had 12 more and no more had it. any ideas??

Had a similar thing whilst out lamping, this rabbit was like a bag of marbles and could feel these lumps

from under the skin.i counted 54 and stopped, met up with the keeper who told me it was just a bad case of mixy,

ive never seen it from the head down.

i never opened it up just left it for the crows

I caught one about a month ago which had a bag of fluid and what looked like white polystyrene balls in it. I guessed worm eggs at the time. basil.

i would be intrested to know what it was . i seen like a 'fish row' in rabbits

-Was it around and on each side of the kidneys? If so, then it was probably fat. We've been getting some really fatty rabbits this season, even with layers of fat around their shoulders.
