Killsh0t 0
Possible fixes: Check the flush valve seal or flapper – If it’s worn out, warped, or has debris, it might not be making a tight seal. Try cleaning it or replacing it if necessary. Look for mineral buildup – Limescale or dirt around the seal can cause small gaps. Scrub the area with vinegar and a toothbrush to remove any buildup. Adjust the water level – If the water level is too high, it could be slowly overflowing into the overflow tube, causing refilling cycles. Inspect the fill valve – If the float or fill valve isn’t shutting off properly, it could cause random refills. Try adjusting the float height or replacing the valve. It’s frustrating, but luckily most of these fixes are cheap and easy DIY repairs. If the issue persists, you might need a full flush valve replacement, which isn't too difficult either. On a side note, if you ever run into major plumbing issues like underground leaks, looking into trenchless water pipe repair could save you from unnecessary excavation costs. KevAnderson 0
If the pressure is fine elsewhere but weak at the kitchen tap, it could just be a clogged aerator. Unscrew it and give it a good clean. If that doesn’t sort it, you might need to check the cartridge or washer inside the tap. The steps to repair a leaking kitchen faucet usually involve turning off the water, disassembling the tap, replacing faulty parts, and reassembling it properly.
