Achilles-13 3 Posted June 29, 2023 Report Share Posted June 29, 2023 Hi all Am looking for a thermal spotter to aid in doing more accurate headcounts of game, mostly hare, roe and pheasant where we hunt. Does anyone have any experience with the xm30f or xq35 for the purpose of spotting rabbit, hare or roosted pheasant and if so at what distance? Blackwood Outdoors 64 Posted July 12, 2023 Report Share Posted July 12, 2023 The XM30F at it's price point in terms of build quality, detection range, replaceable battery, recording/sound, wifi, etc is very good, it has a 1300m detection range due to the 30mm lens and 12 micron sensor. Magnesium shell and comes in a super compact design. At that price point the best allround product. Pulsar Axion XM30F Thermal Monocular It's big brother the Axion 2 XQ35 PRO model provides a more sensitive sensor <25mk, 384 resolution vs 320 resolution, dual band wifi, longer battery life, F1.0 35mm lens, although it comes at a slightly higher price point.
