skycat 6,174
I normally don't say a word when I see things that p*ss me off but here I just have to say: what a tw*t! Apart from the obvious damage that will eventually be done to the dog crashing back on to the ground time and time again, it won't help it much psychologically either. You'd be far better off teaching it to retrieve by throwing that ball the length of the garden. It will get far more of the correct type of exercise (running) than leaping into the air and crash landing. Is the dog just a pet, or does it work? Teaching it to find a ball on command when you've thrown it into undergrowth could prove useful in training it to find game too. Quote Link to post

bluecollar 104
I had ropes up for my pits and they would go at it for hours.. literally 2-4 hours of jumping and hanging, one could hang for up to 45min... I had those dogs for years and they never so much lost a tooth... A jrt can fall from a lot farther than 2 feet and be just fine.. I have seen them fall out of two story barns chasing coons and get back up and run back into the barn... We had one pit that could get the rope at 12 feet and he never hurt him self... If you have a dog that would be injured by such a pansy activity as some spring pole work you guys are working w/ the wrong dogs.... Or is it that people in Europe are pansies and so are their dogs???? I liked the little jack in the video looked like he was having fun to me!!!! Christian Jondahl Quote Link to post
