still cant find a power output quoted.... i already use the 170 but was looking at the cluson blaser 2mil cp. will i be dissapointed if i buy one? ? :hmm:

the beam isnt much different compared to the lazerlite imo after all if only has a 100w bulb and metal reflector compared to the plastic and 50w in the lazerlite. the beam spread is quite a bit aswell as you probably know on the clulites.

i use a nite stalker now and it does the job great. nice big reflector for a tight long beam and i swapped the 100w bulb with a 50w so the batterys last a lot longer too. only thing i would like is a secondary bulb but you can allways carry a little torch or something if needed. wiring seems decent so far aswell...

it's not the CP of the lamp that dictates how good the light will be but the reflector, the 170 striker is only about 1/2 million cp at most, but can be leagues ahead of any 3 or 4 million cp light, this is due to the quality of the reflector and not the output.....

Just so happens my Blitz arrived from Australia in the post this morning. 104 Euro, including buying it and postage etc. Anyway... The little booklet says...

Handheld,

140 Lance with 75W bulb is 250,000 CP

170 Striker with 100W bulb is 530,000 CP

240 Blitz with 100W bulb is 1,000,000 CP

Scope mounted,

140 Lance with 75W bulb is 250,000 CP

170 Striker with 75W bulb is 350,000 CP

According to the booklet the marine and the remote version spotlights will have less CP than the handheld models with the LL bulbs that are supplied with them (ie, 100W LL bulb etc.).

Hope that is of some help.
