purse nets

hi do any of you ferreters use the purse nets with the net sliders on them where you have a ring on one end and a slider on the peg end if so i was just wondering if they work as good as the 2 ring method i've just made myself some just wondering what they were like i wont get a chance to use mine until the weekend

the proper brouse nets have two sliders, two lengths of drawcord tied together and 2 pegs. by having 2 pegs they purse in half the time/distance of a stanared purse net of the same size... they do weight more and i find they take longet to set but thats probablymy inexperiance with this type of net...

they close fast but open fast so gotta be quick

Do you use them on all/any holes or just the larger ones?And,did you make your own nets(yellow)if not who did,and,how much? :thumbs: .......................martin.

i needed a few bigger nets so thought id get one knocked up and see what there like. the standared purse nets work just fine for me and very few get out once in as theres usually a dog behind them or me jumping on them! plus the ringed purse nets fold up smaller allowing me to carry more than if they were the brouse type. i made them myself....
