Meath Foxhounds Dog Show Saturday 12^th June 21

The quiet village of Kells, in Co Meath  woke up bright and early on Saturday  morning 12^th June 21 to the sound of  barking dogs, rattling trailers , all on their way to the Meath Foxhounds Dog Show. After loosing our way a few times, and negotiating our way back out again, with the help of our excellent Sat Nav guide, Linzi Gardiner Magill, we finally reached the show venue around noon.

As this was the first show in the South of Ireland since the dreaded Covid came on the scene, the atmostphere was electric. Houndsmen dressed in their Bolar Hats and white coats, rings full of Hounds,Terriers, Lurchers and Whippets and children playing merrily in the summer sunshine like it used to be at this excellent venue, this was the place to be.

There was a big turnout of Country Sports enthusiasts from North and South of the border and further afield. It was nice to chat to some old friends and also meeting some new ones.

Time passes so quickly when you are enjoying yourself, very soon it was showing time.

And Finally many thanks to the judges on the day,Liam O Shea/Gavan Tegetmeier/Alan Keoghan , and organisers  and committee for a great days enjoyment with like minded people.

Thank you all for the memories, and I am already looking forward to more of the same in 2022.
