hi all post a thread a while back about losing my permission i have had for some time cos current owner selling up i have spoke to new land owner and he wont give permission even though old owner told him i didnt mess about cos he is very worryed about his live stock which is cool but his biggest problem was if he let me on everyone and his granny would come round and he would have hassle so new permission is a no got same anwer from other landowners near by even though old owner sang my prasies to all of them one has said i can work his land if i pay him per rabbit i take they just dont seem to trust boys we dogs which is a shame wondering how much hassle rest of you guys get trying to get premission dont seem surprising folk poach seem like they aint got time for us now unlike 10years ago when most farmers seem to view it as a service that cost them nothing

it is a shame but its a small percentage of people that spoil it for other people,i posted a while back that while i was helping my dad with feeding sheep which were ready to start lambing in a week or so we saw to people with a couple of lurchers and a few terriers walking the hill, they had never asked permission but the bit that pissed my dad of was the time of year(lambing and calveing) so he aint keen on letting people come on the land now ,if these people had asked he would have most likley have said yes you can come but make it after lambing has finished

we have a big problem round my way of folks ramming of gates lamping fields in 4x4 s generaly f*cking the job up for decent folk,if thats not enough most of the tossers steel what ever they see, farmers and the like obviously assosiate the two then know one gets a chance at it.few years back most farmers looked the other way when they saw you about with a lamp now there petrified as to whats gonna happen next you cant even get a spot of ferreting.

If i had a pound for every time i heard that :whistling: Why didn't your dad walk over to the lads explain they could come back after lambing as long as they stayed of why the lambs were about? Bet ye they wouldn't come back until they were welcome. Its all good and well saying if's and but's

first of all you ask first before you go and he was not in best of moods all these dogs running loose and put it this way he had the number of the car they were in and it took me long enough to get him NOT to bother reporting it

WE have had alot of trouble on our farm from just the one group who have never asked permission from us. whenever they are around something or other goes missing or gates/fences get damaged and fields get churned up. My OH has spoken to them at calveing time asking them to keep dogs under control and away from stock etc and all he got was abuse. Sometimes they come right into the yard. If it is just me and the little ones at home it can be very scarey to be honest.
