TOMO 29,753
there are plenty kangaroos , rabbits are not in great numbers i dont think , there are foxes, but i dont know weather they spend much time unerground. your best bet is to pm hairy bull , or roodogs on this site mate , they live there Quote Link to post
hairybull 3
Our farm backed onto a river/drain thing and plenty of dens, also on the farms on the hill across the road, used to bolt them with a big hob.Just got to get onto a property. They seem to be carving alot of it up for housing around us at the minute. (I live in Kalgoorlie now but still hunt the farm) Enough rabbits to get by, we all have ferrets and use them. Ive got a place south of Kal that has paddocks you cant drive over for the warrens, farmer has tried filling them, poisoning, blowing them up!! Not that I'll be able to make a difference but it'll be fun trying. Some places have heaps, some bare. Pigs in the hills, we all get by with our running dogs- finding something for them shiteloads of foxes. There are deer around but a bit like your British wild boar- you really need to know where to look. Bear in mind alot of the land in the hills is State forest so no hunting waste of good hunting grounds I reckon. Nice marron when they're in season, fishing. Quote Link to post

DiStuRBeD 0
only in some states millet QLD is banned atleast, not sure about the NT, be too hot up in the NT anyway for them to live Quote Link to post
hairybull 3
Ferrets are here but cannot be imported in, only Qld has banned them(still there but!!), some places have restrictions on them but very few and none in WA. If you decide to move I reckon we could set you up with a ferret and running dog (or terrier) Yeah I'm about 6-7 hrs drive, take the dogs to Perth with me when I go down as I enjoy running on the different ground down there. Won't tell you how enjoyable the heat is at the moment as its not!! Quote Link to post
