the lamping ferreter 160
Whent out this morning for a hour with my pup his only 6 months it's the 3rd time I've taken him he new this morning when I grabbed the ferrets he got all exsited and new what it ment so off we go 1st small set nothing so I whent on to a bigger set I'd seen 2 go down in to so I netted up most the holes left a couple open due to lack of nets as only have 20 mainly just work dogs or guns over the holes so never needed loads anyway soon enough 1 bolted into the net the pub grabbed it with in seconds a 2nd one came from the same hole witch was now un netted but the pup was on the ball and soon stopped him just feet out of the hole so I've now dispatched both rabbits and hung them in a tree out the way of the pup as he dose like to have a shake even when they are dead so I'm now 're netting the hole and I hear my dog howling I turn round my big white hobbs got him through the nose safe to say he kept his distance after that I think his learnt his lesson I've had him used to ferrets as in he won't attack them but he didn't no that if he got to close he be the one getting attacked but apart from the little hick up a good a hour out and really pleased with my pup I'll show him abit on the lamp in a month or 2 end of the season when his 7 and half 8 months then leave him untill next week winter hopfully he comes out good his showing good signs 1 1 Quote Link to post
