Went out for a strowl with the terriers the other morning and spotted this beauty amoungst the sheep. I was watching him for ages and hes eating out of the sheep feeders so heres a pic but taken off a mobile!!post-1784-1199270048_thumb.jpg

 

he looks impressive even from a distance :thumbs:

Rushes? :icon_redface: F*ck sake. Oh well. I've needed new glasses for nearly two years now. This is another reason I'm not the least bit interested in a longer range rifle either. I'd be taking 250 yard head shots at logs!

 

Can't you see a block the same colour as staggy though? And, at the left side of it there appears to be an upright bit, like a deers neck.

 

Yeah, alright; Loch Ness material. And I s'pose Foxy would have noticed and mentioned a second deer.

 

I'll go sort my dinner out .....

i noticed it too but i guess its one of those things where you had to be there.

 

still a fine looking fellow there. maybe he's so big and impressive for a reason? lived long enough to know where he wont be looked for? safe among the sheep where no one would ever expect him to be? lol

That is strange, I always thought deer would not settle with sheep around :hmm:

A nice sight though!

 

Deer often get in with sheep ive come across a fair few that have been injured living with a flock not a bad idea from the deers point of view is it an instinct thing as they cant keep up with their bretheren im not sure but it happens a lot round where i live :thumbs:
