Sleeping quarters

Recommended Posts

For some reason my ferrets keep taking all their bedding out of the sleep box taking it all into the pipes through the hutch and sleeping in the pipe. Any ways to stop this happening? Just makes it hard to clean out a 2m pipe when they’ve decided to nest in the middle of it and take  the dead pigeons in with them ?

thanks

take the pipes out??

cardboard box slightly smaller then the sleeping box...so it fits in......fill with straw....tape the top down...cut a small hole in one end just big enough for ferrets to get in...make the hole half way up the box keeps the drafts out....

they will find it difficult to drag the  straw out of it....and after a week or two depending on how mucky it gets just drop it in the bin and start again

Cheers would take the pipe out but it’s needed for  them to get up the levels of the hutch might try taking it out for a few days so they move into the box and try again if that fails I’ll try the cardboard box
