LKS 0 Posted December 29, 2007 Report Share Posted December 29, 2007 Hi I've bought an ex-racer from a kennels for retired Greyhounds in Waltham Abbey. He is about 4 years old, fawn coloured and tattooed but I can't find any information about him. His tattoo's are ZP and HLH, his name is Kovu but I don't know if that's a kennel name or the name of the last owner he had. Poor thing spent 6 months somewhere else before. He's a lovely natured dog, very good indoors. I read Garth's email about his greyhound running off and have had the same problem, managed to stop him going too far and now have an extending lead so that won't happen again. How long does it take to train a greyhound into coming back. Sometimes he does but more often not! I spoke to another greyhound owner and she said ex-racers have to learn how to 'be a dog' (ie pet).
