jasper65 6
Yep I agree with trappa! the Emma Ford book has alot of good info in to start anyone off. I have flicked threw a fair amount of the newer books and to be perfectly Frank! I would only use them to prop the bed up or for Kindling , the danger also is to read too many and take them as Gospel as they do tend to contradict each other alot, Use the best techniques from all and make a note of it, when you get a good one read it and then read it again! jot some things down you think will assist you with the page number and use it to your advantage... When I was a kid and sent to bed earley for for school in the morning, I would take a torch to bed and sit and read under the covers a book called "The Art And Practice Of Hawking by E B Michelle" its a classic in its own right and tells it as it is, its old school and tells the game how it should be done, another couple of decent books is "A Hawk For The Bush by Jack Mavrogordato", and "Observations Of A Modern Falconer by Ronald Stevens". I have read them all cover to cover several times and can associate with what they're saying cause you know by the text its real time Hawking. I have taken info in the past from all these books and found a way that suits me useing bits from each, it works for me all the time so I won't be changing it or useing the Hood for everything ... jasper65 6
I have used this type of Telemetry since the beggining of the 90's and its never missed a beat! boy thats tempting fate . I use a couple 3v XLF-3 Transmitter with it which also touch wood have never let me down, this telemetry has been chucked on the floor, slid off car roofs when I drove off and forgot about it and basically been pretty knocked about over the years but always came good, I can honestly say its been used every season since I owned it, the only thing I have added to it is a Pre-Amp filter which does what it says on the Box! it amplifies the signal and also filters out alot of background noise, there are alot of other makes on the market these days but I won't be changing mine...
