I'm looking for my first rifle

 

Webley Omega air

 

 

 

rifle, 0.22, vgc, 12ft 11lb, scope, silencer, fleece bag, £120 ono. BSA Mercury, clean condition, 0.22, BSA scope, from late 1970s, both in good working condition

 

Price: £55.00 or near offer

 

 

Do ya think i should go for it but from 1975 it's as old as i am.

hey mate what ever gun u start with i would start with a springer then go on to gas asit will mate u a better shot in the long run if u start off on gas u will have to start all over again with aspringer so do it the hard way it pays off n the long run

The big problem you'll have with the older guns is spares. What's your budget?

i dont know about them guns mensioned but think there older ones' if i was you mate ide put in the 30 40 pounds and get a exocet,lightning ,WH youle be glad you did this time next year

The omega was a very good rifle, and its cheap enough at that, if in good nick. Mercury,s are also ok, they can be tuned to 12 ft lbs easily enough, and spares are still available for them no problem, forget the hawk, they were shite.

yes, its a good rifle, its been out of production for a few years thats all.
