CB May I start by saying I'm very sorry to hear about the loss of your litter. It's not nice when it happens and all your expectations are gone in a flash, it really does take the shine off what should be a good event.

It sounds to me like your Jill may be suffering from"post pregnancy stress".

This can manifest itself in many forms some of which you have already described. A few questions you need to ask yourself are:

1. Did I go near the kits too soon e.g. try to handle them in the first week?

2. Has the Jill been bothered by activity around her nest box ie.

a. Dogs, Cats or other Ferrets?

b. The kids or you wanting to have a look every five minutes?

c. Loud outside noise or strong odours that are not usually there?

3. Was her diet suffcient for her to bring up a litter, was she getting enough and of the right stuff?

The only thing that I could suggest now is to get the Vet to give her the once over and get her back to full health. While your there pick the Vets brains, it's surprising what you'll find out about Pugs. Once again sorry to hear of the loss.
