harrycatcat 31
Just had some bad news tonight in that my old sbs that I took to gun man needs £150 spending on it but it only cost me £50 to buy it. Only thing is I like it. I supose people might say get a new one you tight b*stard but they dont always fit right. The old one does. I think if I thought if I spend £150 and it would last a few years then that would be ok but is it like an old car chucking good money after bad ? What do people think. Quote Link to post
clay man 0
if the gun works for you fix it it will be money well spent what they say a bird in the hand is worth 2 in the bush Quote Link to post
Guest Ditch_Shitter
Why does it need £150, mate? And what will that money get ye? If it means ye get an, effectively, 'good as new' gun back? Hell! That's a bargain, compared to paying out for a new and unknown, surely? However; IF that money would just fix A problem, while ye waited for the next one to crop up? Well ..... Decisions, decisions time. No? Quote Link to post
Deker 3,491
Wise words from DS. £150 for gunsmith work, whilst painful to us all, is not that much in gun terms IF it solves the problem! If that just buys you a short term work around until the next grief forget it! Quote Link to post
harrycatcat 31
Just got the old sbs back from the gun man (he does them from home) he charged me £30, I tried it on Boxing Day at the clay shoot and its fanfookintastic. He said the inside was as dry as a nuns c*nt and did a few bits and bobs but now its back alive. Quote Link to post
