straight2hand 304
Couple of old pics I found. This was a cracker of a pup with me a youngster - SMOKY! My dad had to move him on as he was an obsessive howler, My dad often remarks how he could hear this dog from miles away as soon as you left it alone it would howl all day and night and just would never stop, but a looker it was. Bess my dads Handcock dog, although he swears by collie blood in lurchers he felt it never really did it for him, he sold the dog to a traveller. Who I bumped into years later, he said it was his best ever lurcher! Holly - what a fecker this dog was! Typical JRT in attitude - no off button, no surrender, no backward step, constantly escaping and always causing a nuissance - good terrier really! Zulu, bred from my uncles JRT Nipper- a real formidable terrier, through and through digging dog. Cracking little bitch she was. Last but not least FLY, I will find out what the exact breeding was but he was bred from a dog of uncles. The dog my dad talks about with greatest esteem. Retrieved live rabbits from 6 months old, 27 TTS he stood when he was stolen by travellers at 12 months old, He never owned another lurcher after him. 5 Quote Link to post
