Jax13 251
I got the red, yellow and white one and find that it tends to unwrap itself really, really easily on cut ends and it also seems to straighten if your passing a loaded needle through a tighter gap (first row or added mesh) They catch just the same so it doesn't really matter. The one 8,595
I bought a job lot ( just the usual for me ) and sorting it out there was odd spools, then a spool and a bit then two spools the most i got was four spools of yellow . Im going to struggle to get ten nets of any one colour till i get onto the yellow but i double knot everything and it may fray a wee bit to the cut edge its no going any further . Its okay stuff to work with its just the colours got me seeing double on some of them . but after that im having a break and knitting fox nets with some fox twine from fourteen acre them back to hemp and 4z nylon Quote Link to post
Jax13 251
Yep, nowt wrong with it - I just noticed that it seems to unravel more than the single colour stuff. I'm a little anal about my nets and have made 3ft in green, 3.5 in blue and 4 in orange so I know what net I'm plucking out of the bag (there are a lot of places I go where 4ft nets can be a pain so stitched some smaller ones for that reason) The multi colour ones I'm just making 4ft pokes out of, again, so I know at a glance exactly what net I'm lifting out the bag. (got some pink too but they will also be 3.5ft ones as they are the handiest size for my perms.) Quote Link to post
The one 8,595
When i used hemp i dipped the end of the pegs like that yellow 3 foot pink 3,6 orange 4 footers , now i just use 4 footers and dont sell any in red as when a few of us are out i know right away any red nets are mine and while we pick up and set anybodys nets at the end of the day its easy to sort them out and tally them up . a bit daft as well but when i measure my net im knitting i do it from the bottom of the ring so a four foot nets going to be 2 inches bigger just another daft habit i've picked up 1 Quote Link to post
Jax13 251
Good to know... About 15 of my 3 1/2 footers are only 3'4" because when I counted my rows for the mesh pattern I inexplicably became unable to count properly! Now it's become acceptable to count the ring they are now 3'6.5" (I use 1 1/4 rings!) Edited April 16, 2017 by Jax13 Quote Link to post
