Went out yesterday for a days shooting,, Met one of my old mates So we got chatting an arranged a day out with the ferrets today.

Got on the ground at 9, netted up a nice big warren, you could here them bumbing already.. The warren was in a horrible thick steep hedge full of brambles,,,.. So we entred the two jills,..And yes Sod law five nice fat uns bolted from a hidden bolt hole,... Bugger

Moved on to a nice warren in a more open area,,,Netted up and after five ten minutes the first rabbit was well and truly caught in a net.,,Nothing happened for a good ten minutes nd i picked the jills layed up with the locator littlery under my feet.,,,Now it gets worse,, Started to dig and my f*****g spade snapped ( wyevale garden centre) But the rabbit bolted and the jills surfaced so we packed up and headed for the wood.

We headed for the wood where there is a nice small burrie my mate Rob swears he saw a young fox enter one of the holes,, So i looked down with the phone and the bugger was there any by the looks of it she could not get down any further So Rob and Chris get the fold up spade i always carry for emergencies and we dug that one out and dispatched it and called it a day.

Paunched the rabbits,, Took the charlies Brush and called it a day. Let Rob take the rabbits home for his family and we arranged a day out with him next sunday.

a day well spent :toast:
