Hi. Ive been given a ferret finder and just trying to work out how deep it goes. How do you tell the differance between 8ft and 15ft collar? Also what batteries go in them? New to fereting so dnt no too much. Thanks.

I think I'm right in saying that the MK1 fifteen foot collar takes 2 batteries AG5, there are a few different MK1 eight foot collars they take 1 battery some take AG5 but I have a eight foot collar that takes a larger battery V357. The MK1 grey boxes are the same apart from the sticker on the depth wheel.

The cap on the 15 foot is longer so it can take 2 batteries. Some 8 Foot collars are small called micro's. The one that takes the larger battery has a cap that is the same as a cap of a coax aerial connector.
