I think it's a cyst but just wondered if anyone had seen or treated one before ??

Looks exactly the same as one I've had on my red bitch this week but hers was a bit bigger.

 

Is it painful to touch? My red bitch screamed like a banshee if I touched hers.

 

I believe it's off a tick in my case. She had 2, which I pulled and got the head. But I'm thinking there may have been a third which she scratched off herself and left the head in?

 

Mine has been on antibiotics for a week and it's clearing up now.

Cheers gaz no not had ticks but I know what u mean u have have it on terriers like that, it is sore to touch and has got bigger since he has had it which will be about 2 weeks, I tried squeezing it but nothing it just bleeds ?? ??

It' does sound the same as my bitch but hard to tell from pics. Funny how it's same place and same time of year.

 

The swelling has gone down on my bitch now but you can still see the lump. This is after a week of antibiotics. 250mg amoxicillin twice a day. Purple is just purple spray...

i've left ticks heads in before and it never went like that but a cat bite did.any puncture wound could go like that so could be anything.

I could be wrong about the ticks mate. Just seemed funny how there were 2 right near it.

 

But it could well be a puncture wound got infected like you say.
