hi i own a ppsg love it ,but was wondering what the ppmg was like, anybody out there using one, would love to know what there views are.cheers.

cattykid will know doubt be along as he owns one and is very in love with it, I have only ever used natty,s but yesterday I ordered a bill Hayes hathcock sniper, this will be my first commercial catty in forty years, I was torn with a ppmg, but the tips on the sniper, are more universal, firing flats or tubes ott or ttf, plus I always hold my forks side on and the sniper is a natural side shooter, I just need to know if a shop bought catty will improve my shooting, or if it is all just down to the shooter, I have spoken to one or two people that have both ppsg and ppmg, and there thoughts were the sg is a better option for targets. And th mg is more of a hunting rig, I think because the fork tips are wider and take a decent size single band

Hi I'm using PPMG and I think its excellent. I have always used a catty shooting with right hand on catty just instinctive. Saw the videos on you tube etc etc, bought one and started to holld catty in left hand as right eye dominant. All I can say is its amazing how accurate you can get with a bit of practice. Had a few woodys with it, would never go back to my old ways!

All the above are right on, PPSG smaller, more compact, smaller fork gap, which is the reason new shooters fork hit the crap out of it.

PPMG bigger, a bit heavier, way bigger fork gap, and wider fork tips, the handle its a bit longer also, makin it better for larger hands, I have shot both, and I kept the PPSG, its better fit for me. By the way i shoot 28mm to 22 mm TBG on my PPSG without problems.

Cheers!

hi mate did you ever own a ppsg before the ppmg?

Hi Micky no I didn't its the first TTF catty that I have owned.

Its supposed to be an improvement on the PPSG. especially regarding fork hits, I had a few in the beginning but sussed it now!

I too use 28mm to 22mm TBG with 9.5 steels, its a great combination!

Well here it is, I bought the small version with the universal forks as I'm still torn between tubes and flats,my hands are not small I just like small forks, first thoughts the shiny Ali finish is a pain in the ass and I,ve never had so much freckling around banding up a catty in my life, anyway bands are on but they could be a little better, bit of camo cloth tape improves the look and feel of it, when it arrives it's just a fork and know bands which I think is a little lame, but now the important bit, shooting it, as I've never owned a ttf catty in my life I,m amazed, know fork hits so far, but this thing is like shooting a gun I,m just pinging the target with incredible consistency , I,ve literally had this thing an hour and instead of hitting the target about once in two shots I,m now hitting it nine times out of ten, literally line up the dip in the fork and whack, and moorman the tube instead of wrap way of attaching the pouch seems to extend band life by around thirty/forty percent, so well worth the effort and easier than wrapping once you have done it once or twice

Looks great there Greyman any chance of explaining the tube method again and where do you get the tubing from?? Also if you hear of anywhere I can get the latex from outside the US let me know..!

Once you have tried TTF you won't go back to anything else.

i buy the tubing on eBay from China it's pretty cheap shoots great and lasts ages,if you mean latex for bands you can get that on eBay to, type in latex sheet and look for an end of roll, I will stick a photo up over the weekend to show the tube method it will be easier to understand than me bumbling on

sorry it's been a while, but here are a couple of pics how I fit my pouches using tube, it's 4mm latex tubing I get on eBay from China, it's really good stuff, cut a little bit off, push onto long nose pliers, wedge a bit of wood in the handle to open the tube, then just push your flats through the tube through the pouch then back out through the tube, it's done in seconds and lasts much longer than wrap and tuck,
