fat man 4,741
Friend of mine phoned me early this morning and asked if i wanted to go for a trout on lene as i am a break from work so i agreed. We met at 9.30 and headed down.It was quite windy as we were leaving home but a lot worse when we reached the lake.We decided to give it a go and launched the boat in the water with a struggke as the waves were pushing us back in on the slipway. We eventually got out on the water but had to retire within an hour as we were tossed and threw about the lake like a football, lol my mate was actually scared anyway we got the boat back in and loaded on the trailer. While i was tying up the strap and loading the gear in the van he decided to rig up his rod with this powerbait stuff, ive never seen or used it before but have heard plenty about it.I left him too it and drove back into the carpark and took of the wet gear and waders and back on with the short boots and jacket. He was fishing about 10min at this stage and i decided to go have a look and as i approached him he was in the process of reeling in a nice rainbow trout of around 4lb,gammy fooker laughed and said who needs a boat,we headed for home then as it was pouring down. 2 Quote Link to post
