Recommended Posts

my brother has just bought a pup when he recieved the pup all was well

but yesterday morning the pups front legs from the knuckel down seemed to

be buckling the pup is showing no sings of pain and is still eating

i think this is lack of calcium in his bones i have advised my brother to get some

baby milk [sma] and raw chicken to boost his calcium levels

i would appriciate any other advise or knowledge from anyone who has

encountered this problem in their pup

pm me with replies if you wish

thanks

i dont like vets but it sounds like a trip to him is in order as he my need some sort of injection to sort it out plus u owe it to the pup to make sure there is not something serous wrong with it hope it turns out all right mate keep us posted

i had a pup do this to me once the vet said the the bone had grown to quickley and had bowed out on the front it took about 3 months but it sorted its self out

but just check with the vet before you add calcium to his diet as this could make the problem worse

Why do people insist on playing amateur vets? If you think there's something wrong then get the dog to a real vet!

For the sake of £30 you'll know what (if anything) is wrong. Mess around now and it could lead to a lot worse!

i had a puppy bought to me by a bloke and it had a dodgy front leg and it kept buckling forward found out the whole litter of about 7 had the same problem a couple had the same problem with all 4 legs

its where they never got enough calcium or milk from the mother probably where she was taken away too early when i took it to the vet, said its leg will never heal properly even after an op and it would never be able to run it, said it didnt seem to be in any pain so you might aswell let it be bloke come back for the dog and took it back anyway dont know what happended to the litter
