PC Problems! (Again)

Recommended Posts

Ive just bought a lap top with Windows Vista on it and have given my parents the PC which it is replacing. Ive kept the Netgear Wireless USB Adapter but I have misplaced the installation disk for it :icon_redface: Ive already got a wireless network set up in my house so I assume if I can install the wireless adapter onto the laptop then it should be easy enough to find the network and get on to the internet? So, where on earth can I buy the a Netgear Wireless USB Adapter Installation disk? Or, has some nice kind person got one I could borrow? :D Please.............

Dosn't your new laptop have built in wi-fi? most new ones have.

Failing that, down-load the required drivers (software), as sugested above, on someone elses pc, copy it to disk and then install it on your laptop.

Try the netgear support page, there are some software downloads available if you know the model of adapter you have.

:signthankspin: I went on the link and established that the adapter isnt compatible but discovered that my new laptop has its own built in!! I just had to find the wap key number - which suprisingly I had in a safe place for once :D so Im connected and its all good!
