Bsa Lightening Xl Opinions?

well its arrived and I was pleasantly surprised. It feels solid and weighty and its a nice looking little thing. its even more compact than I expected and the stock looks quality too.

i put 20 shots thorough the chrono and the shot string is as follows

 

1. 530

2. 518

3. 511

4. 525

5. 512

6. 508

7. 505

8. 517

15. 529

16. 518

17. 498

18. 527

19. 502

20. 504

 

So not great then :laugh: but not terrible!

 

Im thinking of stripping it and giving it a good polishing, relube and fit it with a top hat and guide. After iv had a play and see how it groups if I like it I may even buy a drop in kit for it.

 

cocking is nice and smooth and theres no twang but it would be nice to get it more consistent.

 

ill update with a bit more detail after a play incase anyone is interested.

The timber looks lovely pal and the groups should settle after a few more pellets.

yes im very happy with it! the old owner only put 200 pellets through it so its got plenty of settling to do.

 

if I can get it shooting spot on I bet it would be a superb compact close range vermin gun and great to use from inside a vehicle too.

 

when i started unwrapping it I thaught it was in 2 pieces for transport! was shocked at how short it was.
