pockets 0
wow nice turkey is it easy too pluck them or do they tare quite easily i find when im plucking pheasents that the skin tares too much so usually just skin them. Little Lloyd is right they are much easier to do when warm..They were culled traditional way ..bled out and plucked then gutted. They were not to bad to do...Hardest part is getting sinews out of legs.Last two getting done Sunday before Christmas going on these three the last two are going to b 30 lbs plus.Me Missus has done them all for friends and family she got them late September and they took a hell of lot feeding Hang em on a nail twist and turn and the horrid little sinews get ripped out...i agree they are aggro! fishfish 17
to get the sinews outa the legs when i was in the butchery trade we would carefully cut through the skin just above the knuckle then plase the bird so the nuckle was 2 inches over the table leg, then hit ot with the heal of yer hand or a heafty steel, once the bone is snapped just clamp a mole grp on the knuckle and turn several times till the sinews break free and come off with the nuckle.
