soapy 23 Posted February 12, 2016 Report Share Posted February 12, 2016 any one no about powermax hipac systems can help me out .bought a rifle from a guy and he done a custom job based on 2240 it has a shrouded 24 inch barrel with bnm breach .any way went in the back garden to try it out so it only fired 2 shots and no air letf in rifle .so i went and filled it up 200 bar so when it got to the 200 stop so thought it was filled .so i tried to fire no air tried again same .so gave the guy a shout who i bought it from to help me out . so he came this morning down to the shed so i said how does this set up work he said fill it with air as i said to him i have done that and its not taking the air .so he screws the powermax tube a few times and keeps on screwing it and its not coming off so i said is that [BANNED TEXT] u do with this he said yes so he said u grab the tube and he grabed the rifle and still it wouldent come off .so i said again are you sure it comes of like this and he said yes .so i was sitting on my chair in shed he he was neeling doon beside me and ask do you have a hammer i said yes so he sits the rifle on his lap and puts a small screw driver and gives it a small hit and then all of a sudden there was a big bang and the powermax tube came right out rifle and straight thro my shed it was like a torpedo lucky he had it pointing away from me as it could have been a different story. so can any one help me on how this has happend would be grateful for some answers cheers Quote Link to post

treecreeper 1,136 Posted February 12, 2016 Report Share Posted February 12, 2016 Id say you filled it up way to much, pressure will have locked the thread as it's trying its best to sperate both parts. Your very lucky, 200 BAR of air in one shot behind a decent sized tube will have quite alot of energy. 1 Quote Link to post
