BLACKBOB 9
I tend to tape mine to stop muck and water getting into them, they dont come apart that easily but they can stop working if it becomes wet and dirty inside. Cheers bob Quote Link to post

FUBAR 0
I think that is a good solution to the problem of the mk3 collar Ritchie , Have you enlarged the gap so that the leather will pass thru ? also I think that deben recommend that you wrap insulation tape around it to stop water getting in. nrat 8
Yes Sunday it happened to my mate. He has the mk 3 and I still have the old ones. His box doesn't pick my collars up and vise versa, but he was told it would. Does anyone know if it should? MK1 boxes pick up mk1,2,and 3 collars, replace the nylon collars with leather they dont slip all the best Quote Link to post
richie 1
Ive had them come of before today but it's never happened with the mk1 collar's.. and that's a good idea modifying them with a leather collar but for feck's sake the amount of money they cost all this should of been thought of before they scrapped the mk1 which i prefer without a doubt..Millet deben are full of shite!. when it first happened i called deben & explained the problem i was having, the lady on the phone said i was the first person to call & complain... she was talking out of her arse as i had a mate call up about it a few weeks earlier. she wasnt helpful & couldnt give me any useful advice apart from do the collars up tighter, but that doesnt help when like me i have 2 small jills that i tend to use alot. if i do tighten them up to where i think it has no chance of coming off, as soon as i place them on the ground they start wriggling on the floor trying to get them off, so whats the point. in the end i ordered some replacement mk1 collars and done a slight modification on the mk3 transmitters and bingo !! they stay on my small jills with no problem & ive never had one come off again " touch wood ".. richie ps.. this is to you deben Quote Link to post
