Marctitty 92
So would you recommend I get the x searcher to start off with as it's cheaper and you get the bigger head that I would have to purchase a bigger head to start with cheers mate Quote Link to post

Marctitty 92
Think that's what I'm going to go for as it cheaper than the 800 like for some reason Quote Link to post
Tremo 138
I purchased the NM800 with the standard head. I picked up a XSearcher head a few months later and have been using it ever since when I go foxing. I only switch back to the standard head when I'm shooting at closer ranges, which seems to be very rarely these days. Quote Link to post
Marctitty 92
Hi mate did you get the nm800 or the nm800ic or would you suggest I just get the nm xsearcher from the start cheers Quote Link to post
Tremo 138
I have to point out that I use IR for foxing, and not the red or the green. Also the NM IC wasn't around when I picked up mine. Would I go for an IC model? It depends on the price difference and if I would see the benefit of having brightness control. Personally I have mine belting out full blast with the XSearcher for foxing so I have no need for the dimmer. I've also had my original NM IR pill pimped-up to an AS one. It is cheap enough and you wouldn't believe the difference. I would definitely recommend the larger XSearcher head for foxing though. Before you take the plunge with NM have a look at these - http://www.ludicrous-lumens.co.uk/T_Series_Transformer_IRTorch/cat2616501_3087542.aspx I haven't tried one myself but I've been following a thread on another forum.
