neems 2,406 Posted November 10, 2015 Report Share Posted November 10, 2015 You're under no obligation to inform anyone if you choose to home school from the get go,if you've taken your child out of school the school will tell the council who will contact you and probably request an education officer visit (maybe regularly) but again you're not obliged to see them. Though seeing them at least once is apparently a good idea,because they can register your child as home schooled and you get a card to prove it,in case truancy officers/police/scs come knocking. 1 Quote Link to post Share on other sites
