Gareth12 225
Been thinking of getting a couple of Jill's to improve sport a little with the pup and get some runs local. Is it ever too late to break to ferrets? I know I should have done this as a pup but tbh I never intended working with them. Recently been doing more day time and it's something I've been considering but will it be too much of a risk with doc at 9 month of age? Quote Link to post
ryaldinhio 5,132
My lab is 18 months and I have started breaking her to them and its been fine. The misus also has to westies and I have tried these but got no chance with one of em, he goes straight into the kill zone, there is no reasoning with him. So personally I think it depends on the dog. 2 Quote Link to post
rabbit demon 302
9 months still a pup. A mate of mine got his whippet used to my ferrets and it was well over a year old. I broke my staffy to my ferrets. He was 4 and and not animal friendly in the slightest. They all got on ok fairly quickly. Quote Link to post
