Recommended Posts

it was our 4th shoot day saturday gone its been ok for a small shoot the bag has been ok ,with the partridges hanging about for more than a few days before dissapparing off to the sunset ,the woodcock seem to have made an appearance a little earlier on our ground last year we only had a couple late on ,not sure if its the same by you? , what a top class bird they are a class sporting bird , anyway saturday i was waiting in line my turn to stand for the beaters to bring somne gorse down to us 4 in the line ,i had a shot at a passing pigeon but missed well and truly , a little later i see this fox just jaunting down the fenceline towards the other lad i knew it would make for the corner of the fence and be away into the other wood so he carries on to the corner the other lad took his shot and missed turning him into the field passed me , a bad move it was to be , a cracking dog fox with a top brush he was well fed no more , as you can see he is some size alongside the gun ,hopefully it will equal a few more pheasants can rest easier but another will fill his place here he is the picture was taken on me phone so it is not as good as can be with the konica cheers rob :D

That's good going Rob, and a fine fox. I bagged one on sunday while out ferreting. I don't know if it was coming to take one of the rabbits that was hung up on the fence but he was heading that way, mind you, there were several various breeds of mutts on his line too!
