Lots of jays about round my way as always. Lovely looking birds, I know, but I've got to keep knocking a few off as we've got pheasant and partridge chicks about. This one came streaking in at a fair old speed, through the dappled light of the birch trees I took a bead on it, pushed just past and loosed a shot off, shortly followed with a thump of the jay hitting the ground. Best shot I've made in a while.
