I would prefer not to use standard pea shingle as it kicks about a bit, bit bored of slate chippings plus I would prefer a more brown colour. I considered a semi sealed surface but I hear I would need to put some type of scalpings underneath? Plus concerns of altering PH of soil. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Plus concerns of altering PH of soil. why not go for (ash turf) , it never as to be cut, so no mess or weeds , and will stay tidy all year-round ive had + got prob with my tarmac drive, ive put a post up on here . I didn't want to re-tarmac all again , so had to chip of old compo that had stained it, and leave loose on surface , as to sweep away just leaves the stain there, left it blends in better with the drive which is prob worn anyway lol Quote Link to post Share on other sites
