Roosting Box

One for the Canary lads........I'm planning on nocking up a light weight roosting box to go in side my avairy not on the out side but I'm not sure on the measurements and design to use as the only oictures I can find is a square box with a tiny hole cut out but no pictures of how the roost/perches are set up in side ....my plan was to make rectangle box which was 2ft long 1ft high and 1 foot deep.....simpler shape to the one in the picture but with most of the front coverd up with a 4 inch gap at the end and 1 or two Perchs running the length of it ....

This if for 6 birds .....will this do or ????

Does look good for sure,i have seen some done very simular but they were hung upside down as it were and the birds flew up into them and were very draught free and something i will be doing to mine on my next aviary rebuild..

navek, this is how I have made my small outdoor flights, roof and half the sides are plastic sheeted, also theres a small roosting area behind Perspex that the birds fligh around or under to get to out of drafts/wind,they seem ok for wintering the birds,i tried it last winter,or for a breeding pair,post-14362-0-00325800-1432024447_thumb.jpg
