MAG1980 116
Ive been driven mad for months on my permission,by a certain mole next to one of the cottages on the farm. It was back filling the duffus traps i had put down, so i set some talpas and nomols to see if those would work. I know recently on the forum there had been mentions of "trap shy" moles, and i was beginning to think this was the case. But after sitting down and looking at what i was doing wrong i believe, i hadnt set the duffus correctly and so taking into account from other threads on awkward moles it was time for a new stratergy. It was the nomol that caught the little barsteward in the end to my surprise, i was close to throwing in the towel with the little blighter but never gave up and changed tactics which resulted in catching that mole. Alot of guys on here swear by the duffus and i agree they are a top trap and they are my mainstay and catch plenty with them, but i do think its good to have a few other tricks up the sleeve for different situations ie.. soil types ect. This has been one long learning curve but with a great out come. ATB MAG. 1 Quote Link to post
shropshire mole 190
Different traps work in different situations, a well placed putange under a patio slab works far better there than the duffus Quote Link to post
