The one 8,594
Scraped the ice off the car and set off early to Largo Law just shy of 1000 feet the web site says allow a hour and a half to reach the top this old fart did it in thirty minutes LOL . Started ferreting right away and we where getting a pair from each burrow usually one would fly out then we had to reach for the spade to get the second rabbit out it was easy going but really cold we had a couple of light showers and ended up stopping right round the back of the hill for lunch at 1 pm . We got right back into the ferreting as it was too cold to hang about and the afternoon was the same as the morning it didnt matter if the buck or doe came out the partner had to be dug out for some reason . Then it started to really piss down and for the first time i can ever rember my son says im cold and wet time to call it quits then we bolted a young rabbit out the next burrow and the lurcher smashed a dew claw running in to pick it up so we made our minds to head back round the front and off the hill . We where picking up our rabbits as we went and when we got to the last pile some of the first ones we got a crow had saw then and had the eyes out one and gutted it for us back to the car for 3pm a nice early finish and another permission done for the season 2 Quote Link to post
