Bigad 136
One of the lads I know has just started getting in to shooting he bought a bsa super sport in 22 but was having trouble with its grouping. So I decided to help him out took him to my gun club to get it all set up. Well I got on the bench rest to get it sorted put the first pellet in took aim steadied my breathing squeezed the trigger and it gave a right kick I thought it was a bit much but had another go same again the bloke also sat a the bench rest at the other end ! Said "is that legal I can feel it kick over here " he was about 2 meters away now I think about it my 17 hmr has less kick to it . Has anyone got a super sport and does it kick like a mule Quote Link to post
barrywhite 282
it is a similar gun as a lightning that is a bit jumpy because the gun is light weight .check the gun over a chrono if it is over powered that is your answer but I have had a gun with a massively over powered spring but only over the limit by half a foot pound .That gun smashed a scope .as I cut bits of the spring the guns power went up to 15 ftlbs and I kept cutting bits of the gun until now shoots at 11ft lbs ,and dosent smash the scope . just thought the gun isnt dieseling Edited March 9, 2015 by barrywhite Quote Link to post
