bird 10,013
Another good night again with jon his dog Buster and my dog Buck, supposed to be rain cold but rain didn't come in until 3 30am few drops but not much, and was quite warm really , there big dogs with good coats so was feeling last night, but you got go with the night there. Some of the fields were quite hard going ,we had one with bloody big hill on it, that got me blowing a bit , not spring chicken no more, think jon got springs in feet lol. Dogs were running great again Buster took some great squatters , and Buck took couple good ones , retrieving was very good as normal both dogs,Buck had cracker rabbits was right other end of field, sad to jon (if) catches this it will be brill retrieve from that distance , and he got it and came right in to us with rabbit and really to be honest he the only lurcher that ive not done a lot retrieve work with ,the odd dummy when small pup, but nothing compared to say Bryn or my other that ive had . Was out walking 3 1/2 hours good back home just after 5 am, checked Buck over and give good rub down with towel to help with stiffness for next day, and it does deff help fed him . So was good night 26 rabbits , keeping the dogs ticking over for couple more nights out . 3 Quote Link to post
