bunny tickler 876
i seem to be able to grow plenty of tomatoes easy enough , i have been looking at videos showing planting them on their side with good results ,has anyone done this method im thinking of giveing it a go this time , plus i have an endless supply or really old rich black horse manure some say its safe to plant directly into it if so i could save a few quid on compost ,is it worth the risk , cheers
Tiercel 6,986
That manure is now compost I would plant in it, no problem. I seen some while out ferreting with TerryD god knows how old it was, but it was real proper compost must have been a couple of ton there. TC

talt 878
I grew some in some chicken poop and shavings that had been composted and i think they were the best i ever had yield and taste wise.
