The way i did it the material cost was just a few quid for mig wire, flap discs and isopone etc, not that saving money was the main reason, infact the extra labour cost likley excedeed that so not worthwhile paying someone else to turn a sink into a bonnett. I enjoy making things especially out of recycled materials(as you can seee from my other threads), using pre-existing shapes etc and matching them to what is required. More satisfaction creating something fom nothing than there is from punching your credit card number ino an iternet site and waiting for the pre- made item to come in the post. 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites

Yeah don't suppose they would think much of a flattend out stainless steel washing machine drum being used for a grille! Might get round to making a more authentic looking one some day.
