Not so much the warren size as the size of the land surrounding, is there covets for the rabbits to head to or will they scram into open ground? Is there another warren nearby for them to head to etc all this matters when taking a pup out

One thing I learnt the hard way if your pup is a trier don't let it come across some thing it won't have a hope of catching that won't do it any good

They go on to open ground on bushes should a take him there?

Get a long net mate

Okay and just put it in the field and let them run in to that

Look at the land, work it out, the escapes, safe ground for them to head to, other warrens etc and place the long net/s accordingly but not to give too much space the idea is to remove the long distance run

No worries mate the school of hard knocks is difficult for pups if the lesson is impossible

What about if a known were all the holes are a net them all will it still learn abit or is it best to put a long net down and give it a wee run?

Both he is learning mate and it won't click straight away the long net is to restrict any runners and give the pup a fighting chance. But remember do not let the dog rely on the net
