However, frozen crab can and does catch fish as long as it is frozen correctly. To freeze crab you have to get every little bit of the gills out of the crab failure to do this will end up with a smelly unpalatable mess that almost any sea fish will not eat. ( well maybe doggies will eat it). I have used frozen crab many time, I found it better if you kept them frozen and put them on the hook frozen, that way as they thaw in the water they start a trail and release their juices slower.
