Guest vin
Nice one gents,,good night there you and vin are doing a bloody good job with those ferrets Tomo as the numbers didnt seem anything like when you took me there. Remember that field where i took you 1st ? we had 12 rabbits off that little patch with the lamp ? Me and Tomo ferreted that area this morning and we caught 50. . . I missed loads as well due to my insistence of using no nets. . and they were hole hopping. . .lol... and my dogs are shite...lol.. But Tomo and venus were slightly higher up and across from me,they were on blistering form with Venus missing nothing whilst also using no nets. I know a few of the lads go out and catch big numbers without the dogs, just ferreting and netting. . . If its got to be done...great.. But I would rather catch 1 with the ferret and dog with no nets,Than 10 without the dog. . . going out without the dog is not on my list of options these days. Quote Link to post

2.8 guy 403
I said in another post earlier that the dales can be a bit like trawling for fish sometimes you go and drop on do 50 rabbits without breaking sweat and go back near that area a second time and struggle like you say you drop on pockets of them once took my mate postie and langly charmer around swaledale it started to snow and were I wanted to go was up on a real steep incline and the motor wouldnt get up so off we went els were around the keepers house the land was not producing so I went across the valley to another estate and got into the bunnys paul was in his element running around killing everything he saw was making me feel tired just watching him poor night poor weather but persistance and a bit of trawling got us around 40/50 rabbits and at some point could hardly see same thing sometimes with ferreting needless to say the rabbits are fewer around the area from when I first started Quote Link to post
